Managing rates for nearly 30 properties across hundreds of partners every year

Wyndham, like most modern hotel chains, has multiple distribution channels: primarily direct, dynamic, and static distribution.  Out of these key distribution methods, static rates require the most manual labor, by far, to generate sales. Wyndham considers revenue from static rates an important part of their revenue mix and know this revenue is even more important in lean years, when tourism is down. In order to be a viable long-term source of revenue, Wyndham had to reduce the cost of administering these rates.


Using TourConnect’s Rate Management tool to store, send, track, and report on rates and contracts

To get started, TourConnect helped load rates and product information for all of Wyndham’s properties across Australia and New Zealand.  Wyndham then created several templates to handle the variations in the rates (commissions/nett rates) they send out. After sending out their rates, Wyndham would then track to see which partners received and actioned their rates.


Significantly less administrative work each year and increased bookings from key business partners

After the initial setup of TourConnect, Wyndham has been able to manage all of their rates with just one team member.  The number of questions and issues due to inconsistencies in their rates has dropped dramatically. With the time saved by using TourConnect, Wyndham’s sales team has been able to spend more time selling – specifically, following up with key partners and building new relationships.
