Major Release: Connections & Improvements for 2015/2016 Rates

By March 27, 2014 April 6th, 2015 Announcements

Today, we are very excited to release the latest version of TourConnect.  This version includes a new and intuitive user interface, simplification of product and rate management, and the ability to establish connections to all your partners.  The new features and improvements we’ve made are the first major step to ensuring the best possible experience for our clients during the contracting period for 2015-2016 rates.  Here are some of the highlights available now:

Improved User Interface & Dashboard
Our new and simple user interface breaks out the user experience into 4 distinct areas:  Dashboard, Profile, Connections, and Contracting.  Users will now be able to quickly view a list of their partners, invite new partners in anticipation of 2015/2016 rate exchange, and create corporate and marketing profiles.

New Connections Feature
Our industry is all about relationships, and now you can manage all of your relationships in one place, with our new connections feature.  Simply invite your business partners to connect with you via TourConnect.  Initially, this will set you up to quickly and easily send your 2015-2016 rates to your partners.  In the future, we’ll be adding new communications features that utilize these connections.

Simplified Supplier Product Management
We’ve separated supplier marketing related data from contracting data.  Now, you can simply provide your basic marketing  information for your locations/properties and products, and you’re done with your initial setup and ready for 2015/2016 contracting to begin in about a month.

Coming Soon – New, Improved Contracting Features
We’re working hard to make sending out your rates a breeze with TourConnect.  The new contracting section will be available in May, and here’s what you can expect.

  • For suppliers, we are making the process of loading your rates as simple as possible, as well as making it easy to send those rates to everyone you work with.
  • For contractors, we are updating the condensed version of our contracts to give you a simple, easy to read/load format for all of your supplier rates

PLEASE NOTE: Our existing users will see that we have greatly simplified the system.  In doing so, some of the data that has previously been entered will not be visible.  This data will be visible again when we do our next major release in May prior to ATE in Australia and TRENZ in New Zealand.

TourConnect’s vision is to build a community where tour operators, hotels and travel suppliers can meet, manage their relationships, and exchange rates.  The enhancements above are just the beginning of the future of TourConnect.  We hope you’ll join us!
