TourConnect Releases New Contract Format

By Announcements

Just in time for the 2015-2016 rate season, TourConnect is proud to announce our new TourConnect Contract. We reviewed every type of rate sheet and contract we could find, and developed a way to display all of the relevant supplier and rate information in a simple, clean, and efficient format.

Suppliers (such as hotels, bed and breakfasts, hostels, day tours, and attractions) can make their products easy for tour operators and wholesalers to sell by sending rates out in the new TourConnect Contract format. Contractors (tour operators and wholesalers) can receive all of their supplier rates in one complete, consistent format. Here’s an example of the new TourConnect Contract format:

This new contract is just one way we aim to make your life easier. Our Contractor Survey showed that the lack of an industry standard was wreaking havoc on contractors. TourConnect’s new contract format can help, and here’s a few reasons why that’s a good thing for suppliers.

I entered the workforce at 16, and worked hard to put myself through uni, while working and studying full time. When I started my studies, I had every intention of getting a doctorate, but after earning my degree I felt differently, as I’m sure many people do. Read More

Top 4 Reasons Suppliers Should Care About Contractors’ Struggles to Load Rates

By Research & Insights, Suppliers, Tour Operators & Agents

It always amazes me how much animosity there is between travel suppliers and their tour operators/wholesalers.  These are companies that rely upon each other for their livelihood; however, suppliers are always complaining about their contractors and the commissions they pay.  I’ve heard it a thousand times before in many different forms: Read More
